A witty dame is the making of a pantomime and we’re sure our favourite dame Brad Fitt will be no exception in this year’s show at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn.
Fitt is recognised as one of the funniest dames in the country and returns to direct and star in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
After delighting audiences as Buttons in Cinderella last year, a departure from his usual role, Brad is back in a dress to play our favourite dame again this year.
He is returning to Shropshire for his seventh consecutive pantomime for Evolution Productions and Theatre Severn.
Previously he has been seen as Widow Twankey in Aladdin, Dame Trott in Jack and the Beanstalk, Nurse Nellie in Sleeping Beauty, Mrs Smee in Peter Pan and Dolly the Cook in Dick Whittington.
Outside of performing and directing pantomime, Fitt also writes them and they are performed all over the country both professionally and on the amateur dramatic circuit.
He is currently writing his eleventh script for the Towngate Theatre, Basildon, which consistently picks up five stars in The Stage newspaper.
For the past two years, he has also written the yearly offering for the Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City. Alongside this Brad is a producing partner of SilverBlue Entertainment.
When he isn’t working, Brad likes to read, saying he has an unhealthy obsession with books on comedy, practice the piano, which he started to learn earlier this year, and nap.
Brad lives on the North Norfolk coast with his partner, their three foster children and a host of animals.
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is written by Telford-born Paul Hendy and produced by Evolution – the hugely successful creative team behind pantomimes at Theatre Severn since 2011.
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs opens on Wednesday, November 29 and runs for 68 performances until Sunday, January 7.
