Audiences in Telford have the chance to see brand new material from comedian Ross Noble as he warms up for his latest tour.
The funny man will be taking to the stage at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place at 8pm on Thursday, September 22, and Friday, September 23, before heading out across the country with his brand new material.
Planning for the Brain Dump show has been described as ‘about four words on a piece of scrap paper’ although there are a few set topics he talks about each evening.
Noble began his comedy career aged just 15 and now performs across the UK and Australia – unveiling a new show every year since 1999; his routines are largely improvised and ‘surreal performances with a stream of consciousness delivery’ which has earned him the title of ‘randomist’.
He also incorporates plenty of audience interaction, with many of his shows becoming based around heckles and conversations with his fans.
So if you’re thinking of coming along, why not prepare a challenging heckle for the comedian and see where he takes it?
He’s got plenty of accolades to his name, having been nominated for a Perrier Award and won Barry and Time Out awards. There have also been sell-out shows at Edinburgh Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival but he’s often turned down television offers in favour of continuing to tour.
Having said that, you will have seen him on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Room 101, Jack Dee Live at the Apollo and Have I got News For You. He also makes regular contributions to BBC Radio 4’s Just a Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.
The shows are the perfect chance to see a ‘one of a kind’ comedian live on stage and with tickets costing just £18 it’s an opportunity not to be missed.
