Thumbs up for Telford Town Park

Gone are the days of Telford being all about shops, houses and industrial estates – it now officially has the best town park in the UK – how amazing is that?
Telford Town Park was voted the best in the UK by the general public in The Fields in Trust Awards.
What a great achievement.
Here at J&PR we are all familiar with the beautiful park and is a place we often take our children.
With lots of bike routes, walking routes, sensory garden, nature reserve, play areas, water play zone, sand pit, high ropes course and much more it keeps them entertained for hours.
And with it being located a stone’s throw away from the new Southwater development with its varied array of restaurants including Mimosa, Zizzi and Harvester to name but a few, it is a super location to grab a quick bite to eat when they’ve run out of puff!
We would agree with Telford & Wrekin Councillor Liz Clare it really is one of the ‘jewels in Telford’s crown’ and it is super to have this recognised which such a fantastic award.
It must be no easy feat keeping such a large area in tip top condition all year round so it this award really is testament to all the hard work of everyone who works there.
The park was nominated for the prestigious award by Friends of Telford Town Park for its range of attractions.
It beat off competition from 122 other parks nominated nationwide. Go Telford!
