Guest blog by Pam Williams, of Ace Car Care.
So three months ago we packed up, shipped out, and whipped round the corner to brand new premises on Shrewsbury’s Battlefield Industrial Estate.
The site had undergone almost £100,000 refit and we have spent the quarter making it feel a bit more like home.
With premises four times bigger than the former workshop in Harlescott Lane and twice the floorspace and height, it has been a big job, and there is plenty more to do.
But the most important bits – reception, spray booth, tint bays and the workshop – are now fully operational and up and running ready to meet and greet customers and carry out great work on their vehicles.
We would love for everyone to come and take a look at the new site at 7D and 7E Vanguard Way, see the workshop in action through our wonderful peephole windows in reception (not as dodgy as it sounds!) and say hello to the staff, who made themselves at home within the first few weeks.
Our plan is to grow by up to 30 per cent in the next 12 months and these first three months have stood us in good stead with an increase of more than 12% in both quotations and sales from our initial forecasts.
We are also looking to welcome some new faces with plans to increase staff numbers by between 30 and 50 per cent in 2014. The first of our new employees – Ben Hadley – joined us at the beginning of April and is fitting in nicely.
Don’t worry, we will make sure all of the new staff we employ will be as wonderful as the current team….sometimes we are unsure whether customers come to bring us their vehicles or just to see the staff here and have a giggle!
So make sure if you are in Battlefield you pay us a visit and if you are not over our way take a peek at the new website http://www.acecarcare.co.uk/ or keep up with us on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/AceCarCareShrops
We look forward to seeing you soon…
