What a whirlwind the past two months have been. We are so pleased that the team and our clients have kept healthy and safe during this difficult period, but unfortunately, it has meant there have been some event casualties.
As you well know, J&PR loves the event season and love working with a number of organisers of regional shows.
From PR and advertising campaigns, social media strategy and management, competitions and sponsor recruitment and support and of course, finally enjoying the day (usually in the sunshine!) as press officers – right through to post-show results, press releases, interviews and surveys – we love being a part of it.
But, with excellent reason, our 2020 shows have sadly been cancelled. The coronavirus has tested us all in so many ways but safety comes first.
Don’t fret, however, as the events will be back next year with even more time to plan for amazing experiences for all the family!
Here are a handful of local shows that we can’t wait to attend in 2021.
Returning Saturday 29th May 2021, Shropshire County Show is a one-day event loved by all generations. The Show has been running since the late nineteenth century, so you know it’s stood the test of time!
From cattle parades to monster trucks to dog shows and Young Farmer’s Floats, the Shropshire County Show truly has it all. The sunshine even joins us there, too.
Staffordshire County Show brings together the best of agriculture for an immense two-day event. Keep your eyes peeled for plenty of animal appearances and all the stalls you could imagine.
The Staffordshire County Show will be back Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd June 2021.
The Newport Show will be back with a bang on July 10th 2021 with the exciting new addition of ‘Live from Five’ where top bands and performers take to the stage for a night to remember.
Newport Show also boasts street food, cookery theatres for both the professionals and the youngers and an education hub so that the little ones can take part in some hands-on learning.
You may have found yourself getting green-fingered during the Coronavirus lockdown. Shrewsbury Flower Show has everything from flower displays to celebrity chefs, live music and plenty of stalls. What’s more, each day ends with a fantastic fireworks finale!
A date has been set for next year’s Shrewsbury Flower Show, so mark your calendars for August 13th and 14th 2021.
No matter what your interests, we’re certain at least one of these shows will tickle your fancy. Now is most definitely the time to give yourself something to look forward to… and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for Team J&PR when you’re there!
