The Rocky Horror Show comes to Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn!
07 Mar 2023

The Rocky Horror Show has taken to the stage at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn for the first time this week - and if you haven’t got your tickets, you are truly missing out!

The legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical with its instantly recognisable songs (time warp anyone??)  is celebrating 50 years with a special anniversary production - and it is everything you could possibly imagine.

The Rocky Horror Show is the story of Brad and his new fiancée Janet, who one stormy night after their car breaks down come across a creepy mansion and the charismatic Dr Frank’n’Furter.

It is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity - and it is one Shrewsbury’s audiences will never forget either…

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, this production is filled with fun, naughty moments, laughter…and lots of surprises for those who will be experiencing their first viewing!

An incredible cast brings each legendary character to life, with Stephen Webb’s Frank N Furter bringing the presence you want straight to the heart of the stage with such power and sex appeal. The music, the choreography, the costumes, the performances - everything is spot on.

I have said the cast are incredible but you really have to see it to believe how great they truly are - the vocal ability across the board is outstanding and you are completely enthralled with each and every character.

The Shrewsbury audience on opening night didn’t disappoint with their fancy dress and their well-timed heckling (all part of the experience) and narrator Philip Franks was spot on with his interaction and had me laughing from start to finish.

It’s sexy, it’s rude, it’s amazing.

As you would expect there are very few tickets remaining for this week’s performances but if you can get your hands on one I highly suggest you do!

Tickets can be booked online at theatresevern.co.uk, by telephone (01743 281281) and from the venue Box Office
