The best yet… Cinderella at the Theatre Severn

Every year I say it and the following year I am proved wrong!

Shrewsbury Theatre Severn’s panto always seems to be the best it possibly could be but Evolution Pantomimes owned by Dawley boy Paul Hendy and his wife Emily and producer and director Brad Fitt have done it again!

A wonderful, talented, totally jaw dropping production of Cinderella.

I don’t plan to give too much away in this blog as you must go and see it yourself and I don’t want to spoil the show either – if you haven’t got tickets then make sure you grab the last ones and use them as a perfect Christmas present to yourself or for someone else.

But… wait for it… Brad Fitt (otherwise known as the one in the dress with a serious amount of padding and layers of make up!) is wearing trousers this year. Yes he is Buttons. And a wonderful Buttons at that!

We have been assured he will be back in the dress for next year though!

For me this year the singing reached another level with the Prince and Cinderella offering wonderful vocals and at times I thought a little tear might be shed – a beautiful story with beautifully talented performers.

My favourite part of the show was definitely at the end of the first set but I don’t want to give anything away – but I bet it will be yours too.

Whilst for my sons aged 5 and 7 Radio Shropshire’s Eric Smith made them laugh out loud with his “dance” and got their vote as their favourite part!

And the dress – THE DRESS – is amazing but again I can’t spoil that either!

You’ve got until January 8th to enjoy the show but tickets are limited now.

So in short GET YOUR TICKETS!

And if you are looking for something else to entertain the kids then Brad Fitt has also brought his production Santa’s New Sleigh to Theatre Severn which is aimed at children aged two to seven years old and runs from Friday December 16 to Saturday December 24 – great way to get in the festive spirit and celebrate the end of term.
