Photographers in Shropshire are being alerted to one of the county’s “best kept secrets” – a large purpose-built studio within a self-storage unit in Shrewsbury.
Storage King which is based in Shrewsbury has a fully equipped photography studio on the first floor of its Battlefield Enterprise Park office and managers are urging professional and amateur photographers alike to come and use it.
The space which is regularly used by companies for networking events and seminars can also be transformed into a professional studio catering for a wide range of photo shoots.
Graphic designer Matthew Mills who set his business up in 2011 said that the space was ideal for small and large businesses and was perfect for working with his clients.
“It’s quite a versatile space with there being three white walls and a wooden floor. I would highly recommend it for any photo shoot.
“There was ample room to set up with lots of electrical points, varied lighting and it was easily accessible for the equipment. Anything large can be lifted into the space also through a side door.
“It’s one of Shropshire’s best-kept secrets if you’re a photographer!”
Mr Mills said he recently used the studio for an Alan Ward Furniture photoshoot and said he would be using it again in the future because of its ease for changing the sets quickly.
Sarah Hopkins managing director of Storage King said: “We want people to know that we’re not just a business offering storage units and that our facilities extend to meeting rooms as well as the photography studio.
“We can appreciate that not everyone has access to their own personal studio so when it comes to photography we are proud to be able to offer something that will fit the brief very well.”
