A Shropshire hotel will be opening its doors to families from across the region as it hosts a family fun day this month.

From lunch with a Disney Princess to Birds of Prey and a Jedi Training day, The Wroxeter Hotel, between Shrewsbury and Telford, regularly hosts a variety of events to keep children entertained.
And they will be showcasing many of the entertainment acts on offer during a special family ‘Great Things Happen Here’ open day on February 7.

The free event will showcase the hotel’s baby showers, birthday parties, entertainers and special events – including meeting the Disney Princesses.

Hot pork baps will be served in The Wroxeter’s very own tipi and balloons and face painting will be available.

Hannah Hall, who owns the hotel with her husband Ed, said she wanted to invite families to visit the hotel so they could find out just what’s available.

“We want families to think of us when it comes to planning their next event,” she said. “Children are at the heart of so many of our events – christenings, baby showers and they can never be forgotten on wedding days and at special birthday parties either.

“Our open day will showcase some of the things we can offer – discos and parties, caricaturists and face painters, magicians and more.”

And it is not only the children that are set to be entertained as the day will also include Vintage singers, Little Elvis and illusionists.

“We have so much for families and we are really looking forward to welcoming them along on February 7.”

The Wroxeter Hotel is based in the village of Wroxeter, not far from junction 7 of the M54 and the A5 Shrewsbury ring road.
