A Shropshire web design, development and marketing agency is marking the middle of 2016 with expansion and the addition of two new members to the team.
Ascendancy Internet Marketing was founded 12 years ago and now has a team of nine working with businesses across the county and beyond.
Following a number of major client wins towards the end of 2015 and early 2016 Director Helen Culshaw has welcomed two new faces.
Arthur Couchman, who has taken on the role of marketing and business development at Ascendancy, previously worked in the media sector for 25 years.
After leaving the Midlands News Association at the end of 2013 he worked with an American software company on sales development before joining the Shifnal-based digital marketing company.
He said: “Working for an American company was wonderful experience in marketing and technology but I wanted something more local, to use my business experience to the benefit of a Shropshire company.
“After my years in marketing and business intelligence on the Express and Star and Shropshire Star I have quite an affinity with the local business world and working with someone locally was particularly attractive for me.”
Mr Couchman will be working with the team at Ascendancy on business development and marketing with the aim of continuing to expand the team and growing the business further.
Also joining the team is Natalie Stephens, who took on the role of Digital Marketing Executive in February.
Prior to working for Ascendancy Natalie worked for Phoenixx Records creating and executing digital marketing campaigns for up and coming artists.
She said: “Whilst I’ve only been at Ascendancy for a couple of months, I’ve settled into the role quickly and I am enjoying working with a range of different clients.
“My role is to work with businesses to reach their true potential online, by utilising a range of tools and methods to increase engagement across digital platforms.”
Ascendancy provides web design and digital marketing, Google AdWords management, search engine optimisation, email marketing, social media marketing and Google Analytics consulting.
Ms Culshaw added: “Our vision is clear – to help businesses win business by creating quality websites and making sure people visit them.
“Expanding the team and welcoming Arthur and Natalie on board work towards that vision.
