A Shropshire firm is organising a quiz night to help raise funds for young children suffering from the life-limiting condition Dravet Syndrome.
Always Consult Ltd will stage The Big Quiz Night at the Kings Head pub in Market Drayton on June 9, at 7pm.
Funds raised from the evening will be split between Severn Hospice and Toby’s Trust – a charity set up to support parents and children with Dravet.
Carol Ewels, managing director at Always Consult, said: “We ran a treasure hunt last year for the Hospice which was great fun. We want to combine what was raised then with additional funds to support the Hospice and Toby’s Trust.
“Our colleague, Tim O’Grady, has a son with Dravet Syndrome. This is a life-limiting genetic condition that causes severe seizures with other conditions such as learning disabilities, ataxia and autism.
“We know that Tim’s home has to be adapted to meet Toby’s needs.
“The family is involved in some amazing fund-raising activities to support other parents with children who have Dravet. We want to help both charities, raise money and have fun.”
Always Consult is currently on the look out for quiz buffs to take part in the event.
Entry to the quiz costs £20 per teams of four.
