A well established family-run Shropshire business which provides portable toilets to a variety of outdoor events and contractors has gone up for sale with an asking price of £350,000.
Space Mobiles Ltd is currently based at Stanton Long near Much Wenlock and has been providing portable toilets throughout Shropshire, Hereford and Worcester and Wales since 1991.
James Evans, of Halls Commercial who is handling the sale, said it was a unique opportunity to buy a high-profile successful business which had the potential for further growth.
“Space Mobiles is an extremely well-known company and if you have been to an outdoor event you will probably be aware of the name,” he said.
“There is currently three elements to the business: Providing toilets to building contractors and sites, contracts with the Ministry of Defence and supplying portable toilets to a range of different events including music festivals, parties, outdoor shows, concerts, balls and weddings.
“The company has a strong client base, a wide range of toilets and a wealth of experience in the toilet hire business. It is equipped to provide portable toilet facilities for any event, from a large music festival to an intimate wedding.
“Space Mobiles is currently located on Wenlock Edge but the successful buyer of the business will need to re-locate it.
“This re-location means the business could be bought by anyone in the UK.
“The firm has been in operation for more than 25 years and hires out the portable toilets on short or long-term contracts. The present owners are members of the Portable Sanitation Europe Association and are ISO 9001:2008 accredited.
“Space Mobiles is a business that has been built up over the years and there is an excellent opportunity here for growth. The service the company provides is always in demand and wherever there are outside events or construction work and the like going on there will always be a need for portable loos.”
