Just like that, we’re a quarter of the way through 2022! Where has the time gone? It feels like only yesterday we were decorating the office for Christmas.
Alongside some unexpected sunshine, March also brought some fantastic highlights for the team!
Here are our March highlights…
Making the most of the surprise sunshine, Rhea had her first BBQ of the year with Simon and the boys. She’s appreciating the return of lighter evenings and is enjoying the garden so much more!
When she wasn’t soaking up rays, Rhea’s been completing her Digital Skills CPD - learning all about cyber protection - to ensure J&PR is making all the right moves in terms of the necessary level of online security in 2022.Two positive Covid tests later in the Smallman household, Kirsty’s personal highlight (a highlight as she is so pleased she didn’t get before vaccinations were available) was both her and her husband getting Covid for the first time - two years late to the party! Always eager to remain positive, whilst both felt rough, she was thankful for the vaccinations.
Working from home didn’t stop Kirsty from celebrating two new client wins! With both clients reaching out to us after attending our PR and Social Media training courses, Kirsty is extremely proud to be working with them. Busy times ahead but Team J&PR is ready and raring to go!Dani’s professional highlight was having the opportunity to speak to lots of people - coincidentally one of the main reasons she loves her job! She’s spoken to a number of people this month from all over the world, each one as inspiring as the next. Some of which were award entries and a blog about training staff - with many young people combining study with work and absolutely thriving at it - for SWG Group.
Outside the office, Dani has been relishing in the magic of the FA Cup on the terraces at Selhurst Park, watching her beloved Crystal Palace score four goals against Everton! Next stop, Wembley - providing she can get tickets!
As football is a passion Dani shares with her dad and three brothers, she really enjoyed being able to share the game with them - especially as she doesn’t get to go to many games these days.
Not quite the FA Cup but still just as special, Si’s personal highlight was the junior football team he helps coach finally winning their first game of the season! He said: “Following some very tough times - including a 24-0 defeat - it felt like we had won the World Cup!”
In his working day, Si has enjoyed starting to work with some new clients on various website copywriting projects. He finds it fascinating learning about new businesses and understanding what makes them tick so we can communicate all of the fantastic services they offer through their website.Tony’s professional highlight was hearing about the exciting plans for this year’s Shropshire County Show at the West Mid Showground, one of our longest standing clients! With the show returning to a full programme of events and entertainment this May after a scaled down version last year, Team J&PR can’t wait to pay the showground a visit! Will we see you there?
Last year Tony’s son, Martin, retrained as a teaching assistant after working as a chef since leaving school. After being taken on at a school in Kidderminster in September on a temporary contract, he’s now been informed that his position has been made permanent! No wonder it’s one of Tony’s monthly highlights…congratulations Martin!
Similar to the rest of the team, Sophie’s work highlight has been taking on some great new clients. She’s really looking forward to working with new people in fresh sectors and making a real difference to their digital presence.
Sophie also enjoyed five days in Cornwall this month with her family to celebrate her stepmum’s 50th birthday. Five days of gorgeous sunshine, switching off, plenty of walking and reading, and playing scrabble - although she is rather embarrassed her boyfriend managed to beat her every time!
As their first holiday as a family since Covid, and the first with their three-year-old pup, she felt it was totally worth the wait! We’re not jealous at all…
While Sophie enjoyed her first family holiday since Covid this month, Freya had the pleasure of going to her first concert in almost three years - with tickets to see The Lumineers at the Manchester AO Arena. Despite the rain she had a brilliant time!
As a foodie she also enjoyed going out in Manchester for a delicious breakfast the next morning. Who doesn’t love shakshuka on a rainy day?
Professionally, Freya has loved getting the opportunity to get out and about, visiting a number of clients at their offices. For some, it’s the first time she’s ever seen their premises!
That's all for this month. March has definitely been a fantastic month for everyone at J&PR, with the team all looking forward to seeing what April has in store!
Make sure you watch this space to see what we get up to…
