We know it’s only in September but here at J&PR, we can’t help but be excited about the coming months.
With the cold weather coming in, it means it’s time to start thinking about Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas and all things wintry.
That’s why we were thrilled to find out about the Market Drayton Winter Fair, which is returning to the Festival Drayton Centre on November 18 from 10am to 4pm.
We’re also looking forward to the Charity Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular at the West Mid Showground on November 3 from 4pm to 10pm.
The event really caters for families as there are two fireworks displays with one at 6.15pm with less noise for younger children followed by a second one at 7.45pm.
The Shrewsbury Winter Festival will also take place on December 8 and 9 at the Guildhall. There will be a wide variety of exhibitors with food, drink and handmade crafts and lots to see and do.
At J&PR, we love anything produced in Shropshire and think locally crafted gifts make an extra special present.
At the Market Drayton Winter Fair, local artisans and producers will be showcasing their wares and offering visitors an excellent opportunity to see a wide range of gifts and start getting ready for the Christmas rush.
There will be more than 40 traders attending the festival, which is being held by event organisers Chantilly Grey.
Clare Harvey and Kate Roberts, of Chantilly Grey, said: “It is a fabulous local event featuring many local artisans, crafters and producers looking to showcase and sell their amazing products, all in preparation for a fabulous Shropshire festive season.
“We are immensely proud to say all of our stands are unique and special.
“Our award winning coffee shop will be open for the duration of the event and will have a delicious selection of locally sourced faire, so please do come along and make a day of it.”
Entry to the festival is free, but visitors are asked to voluntarily purchase a raffle ticket in support of the two chosen charities, Severn Hospice and SANDs.
