It has been a beautiful, busy month for team J&PR, with client events, birthdays, trips away and plenty of sun.
All hands on deck
Freya’s professional highlight was getting involved with Shropshire County Show this year! It is one of the most significant events J&PR is involved in every year, with Rhea taking the lead. It did of course help that the sun was out and it was a beautiful day to be out and about with happy people enjoying their day.
Unsurprisingly, the County Show was Rhea’s professional highlight too, she wasn’t seen in the office much in the run-up to the big day as she was busy on-site working hard to make sure everything was ready. And ready it was, it was an overwhelmingly successful day and the West Mid Showground team had much to celebrate - and they certainly did!
Si was also working hard at Shropshire County Show, which he said is always a highlight of the year, never mind the month! The day does involve a lot of work but it's fantastic to see everything come together on show day. J&PR has managed to secure plenty of media coverage, including front-page picture stories in the Shrewsbury Chronicle, twice! There were numerous radio interviews too, all of which was much appreciated by the organisers - it was great to welcome so many members of the press on site too.
While Tony wasn’t working on the County Show, he was very excited to hear the World War ll Battle of Britain flight would be flying over this year's Shropshire County Show, he was looking out to see if it would feature his favourites, including the iconic Spitfire, Lancaster and Hurricane aircraft.
Back in the office
For newest member of the team Clarissa, things seem to have clicked into place a bit more, maybe she just needed a holiday, but she definitely feels much more settled.
Dani’s work highlight is getting some great coverage in trade magazines for Artisan Plastercraft - such fantastic layouts and because their work is all beautiful anyway, it really does jump off the page and look amazing!
Kirsty is thrilled to have a new client on board, with coverage across the regional, national and industry press.
We're always 'stuck in' at J&PR but Sophie feels this month has been a particularly teamwork-heavy one as we've pulled together to prep for client events (although Sophie might be the only one not involved with the Shropshire County Show, she has still enjoyed seeing the team work so hard in the run-up!) and campaigns. There have also been some great team meetings this month, Sophie loves them because she gets to hear about what everyone else is up to and everyone gets involved with a good old brainstorm.
Sun sun sun
Freya is visibly at her happiest when the sun is out and there has been a generous amount of it throughout May - which she has taken full advantage of. With two trips to Barmouth, many bike nights and three BBQs in a row, Freya didn’t waste a moment of the good weather.
Dani has enjoyed the many bank holidays of May! From a trip to Powis Castle to celebrating the coronation with friends in Bristol, to water fights, tents in the garden and meals out. Lots of fun in the sun.
Clarissa has also been soaking up the sun, but all the way in Majorca! She went with a friend for a week. It was just the break that was needed with lots of sun, sea and Sangria.
Sophie has been working hard learning Italian and even has a Duolingo streak of over 100 days! She certainly left well-prepared for her trip to Italy with her boyfriend Aiden. The pair are currently interrailing and are staying in Milan, Florence, and Rome and exploring the areas nearby. We’re loving the photos back at the office and can’t wait to hear all about what they’ve been up to!
Kirsty is excited to see the huge garden project progress. It has taken many days of hard work, but she may just have a new garden to enjoy a prosecco in by July! No pressure John!
Tony celebrated turning 67 this month and is excited for all that’s still to come!
From a personal point of view, the highlight of the month (if not the year!) has been Si’s beloved Nottingham Forest securing their Premier League status by beating Arsenal. He watched it with his boys, who are both now haplessly besotted with Forest too, so it was a fantastic moment for them all to share together.
Well, how’s that for another jam-packed month in the J&PR office? See you again in June for what’s sure to be another busy month for the team.
