J&PR's May highlights!
28 May 2021
by Team J&PR

It’s been the busiest month of 2021 so far for J&PR, not to mention the wettest!

We’ve attended face-to-face meetings and training sessions as well as some fantastic video calls and a great J&PR meeting at The Wroxeter - the first time the whole team has been together in-person this year! We are doing a little tour of fantastic venues for our remote staff meetings so next month will be the beautiful Best Western Valley Hotel in Ironbridge. We’ve heard afternoon tea is on the cards!

Here are our highlights for the month…

Becci enjoyed an amazing stay at the Chester Grosvenor hotel and had a full day in Chester, including lunch with friends, followed by shopping, drinks INSIDE a bar and dinner at the hotel. She said it would be wonderful at any time but after lockdown, it was incredible!

The J&PR team meeting at The Wroxeter earlier this month was Becci’s professional highlight. She said it was lovely to all be together at last and to meet Sophie and Freya, who she’d only previously met virtually. Of course, the main aim was catching up on new things happening at J&PR but lunch was a real treat too!

Kirsty has loved returning to face to face client meetings including a full video day with the Life Vision team from Life Group at one of our amazing hospitality clients - the Best Western Valley Hotel.

Kirsty’s eldest son, Eddie, has qualified for the BMX World Championships in Holland this month, so the Smallmans will be getting their passports ready for August! Kirsty and her husband also received their second Covid vaccination! Yippee!

Speaking of Covid vaccinations, Tony also received his second this month!

Tony also enjoyed speaking to the father of young boys, aged 5 and 6, who have decided on their own to walk up Cader Idris on June 3rd to raise money for The Movement Centre at Gobowen and Liverpool charity KIND. We’re wishing them the best of luck!

Dani has found out that she’s not too bad at balloon art this month and is very proud of herself as she’s kept up to date with all of her work despite having two periods of chickenpox in her house!

Rhea’s also enjoyed getting back to face to face meetings with clients throughout May with meetings at PC Net, Chrisbeon and Ascendancy - are you noticing a theme here?

Not only is she a great leader of J&PR, but also the Scouts! This month Rhea completed her Scouting Association leadership programme as part of her voluntary role in the local Beaver Scout group.

Freya attended her first client training day in May, assisting Kirsty and Sophie who trained a hospitality client on Facebook and Instagram before their grand reopening.

And it was Freya’s birthday this month! The celebrations began with a visit to the beautiful Lake Vyrnwy - we’re very jealous!

Anyone who knows Si will know how much he loves music, so his personal highlight for May was getting out and playing again, with a gig at the Shropshire Tasty Trail kicking off what will hopefully be a busy and fun summer of music! Check out Si Alton Music to see where he’s playing next…

Si’s professional highlight is on a similar theme - it’s so great to see events starting to take place again and we’re busy working with a range of organisers helping to spread the word about their plans!

Sophie is yet another member of the team who has loved getting back to face to face meetings this month, her favourite in particular was seeing the whole J&PR team at The Wroxeter.

She’s also another member of the team who got vaccinated, although it was Sophie’s first. It’s a relief for her that she now knows more people that are vaccinated than those that aren’t!

What a busy month it’s been, and we know it will only get better as restrictions continue to ease! The calendars are already looking busy for June, and we can’t wait to share what we’re getting up to!
