Grand DesignsMy husband and I are always looking for inspiration on how to improve our home and like everyone we dream of that ‘Grand Designs’ style property.

So in order to keep the dream at the forefront of our minds we’ll be heading to Birmingham’s NEC for this year’s Grand Designs Live presented by design guru Kevin McCloud.

There really is something for everybody from bathrooms and bedrooms to kitchens, gardens and technology and if you’re stuck for what to do to transform your home then why not go along and find that inspiration?

If you need some help from the experts then you can try the Ask the Experts section to get some tips on renovations.

For those who want to wander around the aisles, more than 500 exhibitors will be on hand to inspire visitors to the contemporary home show based on the successful Channel 4 series.

The Grand Theatre will be the place for debates by top design-industry experts to help you create your perfect home.

If you’re feeling peckish then the grand food and housewares section with cookery demonstrations is worth a look – you’re guaranteed to see us there!

Grand Designs Live runs until Sunday and tickets cost £15 in advance or £19 on the door. Children under 15 go free. Doors open from 10am-6pm tomorrow(SAT) and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. For more information go to www.granddesignslive.com.
