The team here at J&PR are proud to represent Kelda Wood, who is hoping to compete in the the 2016 Rio Paralympics next summer.

Kelda Wood, from Shropshire, severely injured her leg in a horse riding accident causing her to give up the career she loved. But Kelda never gave up, she started working at the Battle Back Centre with wounded, sick and injured servicemen and women, and also set up her own charity, called Climbing Out, to help young people with life changing injuries to rebuild their confidence and self esteem.

Kelda is currently training with the British Canoeing team in the paracanoe discipline, training with professional GB coaches. Coaches are confident she can qualify for Rio and she has been training full time to give herself the best possible chance of making the plane to Brazil in September.

She has been supported by a variety of businesses, like us here at J&PR who are helping Kelda to tell her story through the media.

We wish Kelda the best of luck for the selections in June and can’t wait to see the outcome.
