Fluid Network Solutions are proud to be supporting Shrewsbury’s first literary festival which takes place throughout the town on November 25 and 27.
During the festival there will be a range of different events showcasing the art of literature. The festival will celebrate fiction, poetry, story-telling and non-fiction from many well-known writers.
The theme for the event is ‘telling the stories within’ because there is more to writing than just words on paper, it’s how an author came to write a particular story at that time.
One such author is prize-winning novelist Marion Molteno who will be appearing at the Unitarian Church in Shrewsbury from 1:30pm – 2:30pm on November 27 and who they are sponsoring during the event.
Marion will be talking about her latest novel, Uncertain Light, which was shortlisted for the International Indie Book Awards and is set in Central Asia in the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union. It also draws on Marion’s experience of working internationally for Save the Children.
Marion says that despite her many literary awards she loves hearing from readers of her novels as well as reading for groups in libraries and at events like this.
The Festival promises to be a fantastic few days and as well as Marion it will feature a wealth of talented authors and poets presenting across the town.
Organising and planning a festival such as this takes a lot of hard work and dedication. The task has been a huge undertaking and the team behind the festival must be applauded for bringing it all together so successfully.
