J&PR's February highlights!

February flew by - Valentine’s Day, a half term and an extra day for the leap year! So what has Team J&PR been up to this month…

Marketing strategy and client success

Rhea’s professional highlight was working on a client marketing strategy with their in-house team and hand in hand with another agency. She said bringing together everyone with all of their different expertise was really refreshing and meant there was a huge focus on combined strategy, which makes a real impact on reaching out to potential clients and customers.

Simon put his video editing skills to good use with a fascinating (if slightly terrifying!) video with CEO Dan Ellis from EPX Technical Services explaining the latest way that hackers can use AI to impersonate people on video calls.

Last month Sophie celebrated Jesmonite hitting 65k followers on Instagram, and this month, she is celebrating the branded hashtag reaching 400,000 posts! It's a real community on the Jesmonite Instagram page, and the branded hashtag is used to engage with others, so to see it reach such a milestone number is amazing!

Tony’s work highlight was seeing the complete list of attractions released for this year's Shropshire County Show - he said it looks like being another great event - and we all agree, we cannot wait!

Out in the community

Freya’s professional highlight for February was joining the SYA Oswestry Youth Club at Aico and making imaginary lemon biscuits with Bethany in the imaginary Aico Bakery... also known as their display kitchen to present fire hazards!

The month has flown by for Kirsty, with plenty of networking out and about in Shropshire and onboarding new clients, including new client Serchem, where she has enjoyed working with the incredible in-house team to launch their rebrand. We love telling stories, and the Serchem story is very exciting.

Love, family, friendship, football and a new shed!

Valentine's Day! Freya especially loves this time of the year - in all its forms. She baked themed Valentine's motorbike cookies for her biker friends and also painted cards and delivered them across Shropshire.

Simon took his two boys to watch Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup - and they managed to scoop the win after a penalty shoot-out, so although it was a very late night, it was definitely worth it in the end!

Rhea’s personal highlight was clocking up another month of continuing her New Year’s resolution of making a roast dinner every Sunday! Some dinners were just with family but February saw some family and friends joining them on various dates too…

Sophie’s best friend paid a visit from London for a long weekend! Sophie had not seen her since August, and it was the first time her friend had seen her new flat so it was very exciting. The pair had a lovely few days together exploring Shrewsbury, and the weather was very kind too!

Dani had lots of half-term fun heading up the Wrekin and seeing family and friends, with the particular highlight of meeting her childhood friend's one-week-old baby Edie who was very, very cute!

Kirsty enjoyed her half term with her boys which included a guided tour of Shrewsbury Prison - she decided the boys could be released at the end of the day and highly recommends it as a family activity! But we all know it's not all about the kids so Kirsty ended the half term with a child-free night away to Barmouth in her motorhome, where she enjoyed a walk, a few beverages and a 20-mile bike ride with her husband - don't give her too much praise - we all know the bike is electric!

But it has been an especially exciting month for Tony as he bought a new shed - we will know exactly where to find him when he is not in the office from now on… in his man shed at the bottom of the garden!

And finally… a new member of the team…

We were so pleased to welcome Taffy to the J&PR team in February as a new PR Account Executive!

Dani’s professional highlight was actually Taffy - she said she is excited to have Taffy in the office and loves the joy and experience she brings to the team.

Here are Taffy’s highlights from her first month in her new role - and keep an eye out for her full welcome and introduction to the team and our clients!

Taffy’s professional highlight was completing a BlackRook Media Digital Content Creator training course in Wolverhampton - where she met lecturer Rhea… and the rest, as they say, is history!

Her personal highlight is free parking! She said starting a new job has been awesome, but her greatest highlight, coming from Wolverhampton, is having free parking in the town centre! Thanks Telford & Wrekin Council!

She said having the church bells ringing every quarter of the hour is a brilliant musical backdrop whilst working in the J&PR office - well there is a reason we are based on Church Street!
