Parents and staff at a leading Telford nursery have welcomed a familiar face into a new role.
Vicky Savage has worked for ABC Day Nursery since 2010 and has now been promoted to Manager of their Lightmoor site.
She said: “I am thrilled to be taking over as manager and look forward to continuing to provide high-quality childcare and developing the staff and the setting at what is already an Ofsted Outstanding nursery.
“I have really enjoyed working for ABC over the last six years and am extremely proud to be leading the excellent team at Lightmoor.
“It really is like one big family here at Lightmoor and although I’m no longer full time in the nursery rooms I can’t stay away as the children know I’m the biggest child of all at heart.
“Every day is rewarding for everyone involved here at ABC with children learning new things every day and staff developing in their own careers – it is a great place to work and I feel extremely privileged to have won this promotion
Vicky’s team has also been joined by a new nursery nurse, Kim Wallace, who has a military background and plenty of experience in nurseries.
Other new faces across the ABC chain include Holly Fenlon, a nursery nurse at Hollinswood, and Steven Rigby who has had 14 years of experience before joining the team at Hoo.
ABC Day Nursery has Ofsted Outstanding rated settings at Lightmoor, Hoo, Hadley and Hollinswood.
Owner Penny Hustwick said: “We are delighted Vicky has taken on the manager role at Lightmoor and know she will continue providing the first-class childcare which has earned us our outstanding Ofsted ratings at all our sites.
“Vicky has worked extremely hard so it’s excellent to be able to offer her this promotion.
“We are also thrilled to welcome Kim, Holly and Steven and know they will be incredible assets to the ABC team.”
