He’s behind you! Oh no he’s not! Yes it’s that time of year again when Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn gets pantomime fever.

This year’s production of the traditional fairy-tale Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is well on its way to being a sell-out with more than two-thirds of tickets snapped up already.

Much to theatre fans’ delight, Victoria McCabe returns to the venue in the title role after playing Cinderella last year.

The actress trained at the London Studio Centre and has a large number of theatre credits to her name, including previously playing Snow White at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil.

She was also a singer and dancer on board Celebrity Cruise Ships for Qdos Entertainment.

She said: “I absolutely love playing a princess and I think Snow White is a magical character – she is so caring and sweet.

“I love the look on children’s faces when you first appear on stage. They truly think you are a real princess.

“Coming back to Shrewsbury is a wonderful treat. I had such a fun time last year and when I wasn’t on stage, it was so magical exploring the town. It has a very Christmassy feel and I’m looking forward to returning to my favourite places.”

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is written by Telford-born Paul Hendy and produced by Evolution –  the hugely successful creative team behind pantomimes at Theatre Severn since 2011.

Snow White opens on Wednesday, November 29 and runs for 68 performances until Sunday January 7.

Tickets are available from the box office at Theatre Severn by calling (01743) 281281 or online at www.theatresevern.co.uk
