PR for Events
If you would like an event promoted to the right audience at the right time, you’ve come to the right place.
From a book launch with a target attendance of 500 to an agricultural show with over 70,000 walking through the gates - we’ve experienced it all.
Our first event contract, the 2009 Cosford Air Show, saw a record-breaking attendance of 65,000.
Since then, we knew this was our field and we’ve gone on to successfully manage the PR, social media and on-site press offices for multiple local and national events, including the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the Queen’s visit to Shropshire for the Diamond Jubilee.
From the minute the idea is born, Team J&PR works alongside event organisers to promote the event and ease the workload of the committee; acting as press officers on the day of the event; organising photographers and journalists and meeting and greeting sponsors and stakeholders.

PR for events services
We become the media team for your event, being there in the run-up, on the day and after the event finishes.
Team J&PR brainstorms, plans, launches and runs strategic PR campaigns for events; from the initial press release announcement to the announcement of each act or exhibitor; interviews with organisers (in print, on television and on the radio); social media campaigns and regular blogs.
Our team is there, working alongside marketing teams and organising committees, to create the right PR campaign for each event.
Not only do we love events, we live for them too; outside of work, members of our team currently work alongside boards of trustees within large regional charitable organisations.
A PR campaign for an annual event should be ongoing. As a team, we create post-PR and continue the campaign to ensure a bigger and better event the following year.
Our PR team is made up of fully qualified and experienced journalists.
When it comes to interviewing your staff, getting value for those all-important sponsors, contacting the media and writing case studies, we definitely know our stuff.
The digital team is clued up on writing stand-out social media posts, creating eye-catching graphics, pleasing the algorithms and getting the most out of your social media ads.
We come up with ideas to promote your event and turn those ideas into press releases, video interviews and social media campaigns to raise the profile of your event in the regional and national media.
Our knowledge means we know what journalists are looking for in the run-up to an event, on the day and what they will need within minutes, hours and days of the event finishing.
It’s never too early to start promoting an event, and with an annual event, it should never stop.
We’re skilled at finding opportunities to promote an event all year round; even if your team isn’t in place 12 months of the year, we can be.
We can be on-site throughout your event to speak to the media and liaise with photographers.
A friendly face giving a professional welcome with all the technology the press needs will make for a smooth day for reporters and producers.
Crisis management is something that all event organisers should be aware of and prepared for, well in advance of the event date.
Media representatives will be quick to cover bad news stories, but we know what to say and how and when to say it… ‘no comment’ is not an option for Team J&PR!
Without a plan or a press officer in attendance, mild incidents like traffic could soon become headline news - when they really shouldn’t be.
Trust us when we say: your reputation is safe in our hands.
Our experience of crisis management prior to an event has involved postponement of an event three times due to unprecedented weather conditions, however, due to timely announcements through social media and other media, along with swift responses to disappointed ticket holders, visitors were happy to return to the event when it did go ahead.
