Education
Nurseries, schools and higher education
As a team, we work with nurseries, schools, colleges and universities in both the public and private sector - communicating with parents, meeting the needs of staff, governors and other stakeholders and raising their profile with potential new parents/students and the general public.
Four members of our team are also fully DBS-checked to ensure we are in line with safeguarding policies.
So much happens within a school that is kept within its walls and it’s common that parents are often surprised when they find out just how much amazing work is going on behind closed doors.
Communications and PR is often the role of a busy administration team, which can mean it is put on the backburner to ensure the day to day running of a busy school continues. We can support business managers and an administration team with communications with parents and stakeholders.
We help schools to shout about themselves and to share all of the great things they do with others - whether that’s by working with them on a regular, retained basis, providing adhoc press releases to share exciting news or providing training so that the school can better represent itself on social media platforms.
Tutoring and education
Private educational services aimed at parents or at schools and colleges use public relations to showcase what they can do and the positive effect their work can have.
We assist these services in sharing case studies and testimonials on their social media platforms and websites; it’s an important part of PR for tutoring businesses and those organisations with the ability to assist both parents and teachers within the educational sector.
Best school and business engagement
In 2019 J&PR won the Shropshire Chamber Award for Best School and Business Engagement company.
We welcome 12 work experience placements a year to join us at our Wellington office and even hired one of them to work with us full time!
We also act as guest speakers at careers fairs, as well as taking part in Year 11 workshops designed to prepare school pupils for their future careers and working with pupils in Key Stage 2 on creating writing/shorthand/local and national news workshops under the new curriculum framework.
