The brief
The Wroxeter is a wedding and events venue based in a Shropshire village at the base of The Wrekin. As one of the leading venues for weddings and events in the county the team at the hotel wanted to provide more for their brides and grooms and all of those holding events at the venue.
Their plans led to the purchase of tipis and a yurt, themed nights, a new woodland setting in the grounds, and a partnership with nearby Morrells Wood Farm leading to the launch of Shropshire Farm Weddings.
And they needed a PR team to let everyone know what they had to offer.
The solution
Our team worked with the marketing and events team at The Wroxeter on a number of PR campaigns and ideas that led to vast print and online coverage.
We were also able to support them in holding specific PR events that welcomed a new target audience into the grounds and raised the public profile of the hotel across the region.
By sharing their new products and packages in press releases, blogs and social content we were able to really show a large potential customer base what the hotel had to offer, and what Shropshire Farm Weddings was able to cater for.
The impact
From the cows being released from the barn ready for weddings, which hit the newspaper, radio and TV headlines to the Harry Potter themed wedding that took the American press by storm we have had a fantastic time promoting this business.
We worked with their team to launch an instagram account so that they could share all of the wonderful images of their events with a wider audience online - this account quickly gained a large number of followers and engagement, establishing credibility on the platform.
The Wroxeter and Shropshire Farm Weddings are both award-winning businesses and it was our team that took all of their achievements and formed award entries that shared their stories and led to them taking home the trophies!
A venue that grows year on year….when the doors opened in 2007 13 weddings were held in the following 12 months. In 2017 more than 150 weddings took place in its grounds - and its popularity continues.
