J&PR client Jesmonite sees monthly web visitors triple in 2020

The brief

In 2018 Jesmonite came to J&PR with the hopes of giving their digital presence a facelift as well as giving J&PR the responsibility of their traditional PR, to complement the business’ international growth and to ensure this growth continued.

Based in Bishop’s Castle, Jesmonite is a global exporter working closely with architects and creatives all over the world to provide them with materials to create stunning projects.

Over the years Jesmonite has made use of every digital and PR service J&PR offers, with the most recent focus being a LinkedIn advertising campaign to promote their virtual CPD sessions to UK architects.

The solution

J&PR work extremely closely with Jesmonite’s in-house marketing team to create fantastic results.

Team J&PR has managed the four key social media platforms for Jesmonite since the business became a client. This has led to consistency across the platforms while allowing each area to be tailored for its target audience, which is vital for such a large business with differing customers.

Communication with customers is key for any business, so J&PR monitor all social platforms to ensure customers are more than satisfied. The tracking of the hashtag ‘Jesmonite’ has also led to J&PR engaging with customers who want to share their work and who may not know of the business’ social media presence - the hashtag now has over 45,000 posts on Instagram.

To complement the social media growth, both in following and engagement, the PR campaign too engages with users of Jesmonite products. On behalf of the client, J&PR’s PR team regularly get in touch with architects or creatives who have used Jesmonite in recent projects to spotlight them for case studies on Jesmonite’s website. This is also done to introduce any new Jesmonite distributors to continue to highlight the business’ incredible international growth.

Jesmonite now has weekly new case studies and saw web traffic triple in 2020; monthly active users skyrocketed by more than 6,000 per month between March 2020 and the end of the year.

The creation and management of a Google My Business page, created by J&PR at the end of 2020, has also led to a large increase in website traffic.

As an industry-leading business, Jesmonite needs to be on-top of stories related to construction and architecture.

J&PR follows industry news to ensure the client is an expert and thought leader on any breaking stories. A recent press release was successfully pitched to major building and construction publications in response to the Government’s £5billion investment in safer cladding.

A further advertising campaign was carried out through LinkedIn to target UK architecture firms that may be interested in the Jesmonite CPD sessions. These ads were designed and managed by J&PR.

The impact

The growth in engagement and following for Jesmonite’s social media pages has resulted in the Instagram account attracting an average of 1,000 new followers every month. This growth across social media and the engagement from J&PR with customers has highlighted Jesmonite as a business which communicates and promotes its customers and distributors.

In February 2021, Jesmonite was able to host its first ever Instagram giveaway to celebrate hitting 5,000 Instagram followers. This was organised by J&PR and Jesmonite to ensure it ran as smoothly as possible. Plans for the 10,000 follower giveaway are already in the works.

The regular case studies and relevant PR has allowed Jesmonite to secure its place as a knowledgeable industry-leader, with members of the team regularly called upon by the regional, national and trade press when relevant stories require a comment.

The digital growth and exceptional PR has led to a huge increase in business across the globe, with 2020 seeing record-breaking quarterly sales for the business as well as many new distributors joining the Jesmonite family to keep up with international demand.
