Shropshire business offers fire training to county employers
MacBrac Health and Safety, based at the e-Innovation Centre in Priorslee, Telford, is raising awareness about the fire training on offer for employers and employees.
Trainer and safety consultant Charles Gunter said all employers should have a designated fire warden who is aware of what to do during an incident.
He said: “We are now accredited to deliver a number of courses including the CIEH Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles and the CIEH Level 3 Award in Fire Safety Risk Assessment and Control.
“The aim of all fire safety training is to ensure that measures are taken to prevent a fire and if a fire should break out that there are people in the workplace who know how to ensure everyone is safe.
“Our courses teach candidates about understanding fire risk and fire risk controls, the principles and practice of fire safety and the role of the fire warden.
“Once candidates have completed level two of the training they can then go on to level three where they are taught about the importance of fire safety in the workplace, the principles of fire risk assessment and the assessment in practice looking at risks and controls.”
