Shropshire based firm Journalism and PR launch brand new website

A Shropshire sole-trader has launched a brand new website - with a little help from her brother.

Rhea Alton launched Journalism and PR in April 2009 and the business, based in Shrewsbury, has gone from strength to strength since then.

A former Shropshire Star journalist Rhea was experienced in writing stories and press releases, setting up photo opportunities and speaking to the press but not so experienced in setting up a website to do the business justice.

She said: "I knew all the basics and made sure Journalism and PR had a presence on the social media sites but I wanted a website that could show all of the information I wanted to get out there.

"My brother Michael finished university last year and began to freelance as a web designer before going into full-time work so I turned to him for help.

"He has created the perfect website for me, although I am sure he finds it much easier working with his other clients than he did with his sister."

Michael Parsons set up Schnipz Web Design earlier this year and still continues with the freelance work alongside his full-time role.

"He has worked with a number of my clients who wanted to combine PR with web skills such as setting up a website or creating an e-newsletter," added Rhea.

"We make a great team."

The new Journalism and PR website can be seen at www.jandpr.com and includes information about a new free database to help sole traders and small businesses in Shropshire with PR tips and ideas.
