He's behind you....

Time flies when you’re having fun and before you know it, it’s panto time again. 

This year’s Shrewsbury pantomime – which will fill the town’s Theatre Severn with boos, hisses and many a cry of “he’s behind you!” – will have new faces behind the scenes, with Evolution producing.

The husband and wife team of Paul and Emily Hendy have drafted in a “top quality” cast and are promising a performance of Aladdin like you have never seen before.

Peter Nicholson, of Theatre Severn, says panto time is probably his favourite time of year.  He said: “We are delighted to have a new producer of panto this year, Evolution.  Their reputation is second to none in the industry and they have got to be one of the best panto companies in the country.”

There are no stars of the screen in this year’s show, but Paul Hendy told guests at this year’s pantomime launch that “celebrity doesn’t always equal talent”, and introduced his cast – all renowned in the theatre world.

Paul, who was born and bred in Dawley, said he and the cast really wanted to make the panto the best show Shropshire had ever seen, and I for one can’t wait to find out if they can deliver their promise....
